SORRENTINE ORANGE MARMALADE


  Just the right density, it is spreadable and there are tiny pieces of pulp and peel. Intense flavour and aroma, with the natural yellow color of oranges.
Marmalade without any type of preservatives, colorings, regulators, thickening additives, etc.

Composition
Only Sorrento oranges and sugar
Friut used: minimum 85 gr. of fruit for 100 gr. of product

Origin of the main ingredients
Where Sorrento oranges are cultivated: the Sorrentine Peninsula.

Guarantee mark and certification: Italian and European (consortiums, dop,...).
Consortium for the protection of Sorrento I.G.P. Lemons.
The marmalade is produced according to the corresponding health and hygiene laws D.Lgs. 155/97 (Company Self-regulation Manual).


Details of production process
The best Sorrento oranges produced by our associates, without plant protection products and without chemical residues.
Washed in running water and dried naturally.
Peeled by hand, cut into pieces, seed discarded, cooked for approximately one hour, only sugar added.
Bottled in sterile glass jars.
Sterilized by boiling jars.

Production time
Lemon production: from November to August.
Production time for marmalade: 3/4 hours.

Duration and conditions of storage
Durations: 18 months
Conditions: A cool place or refrigrator, because the product contains no preservatives.

Recommendations for use
For sweet dishes, aged and ricotta cheese

Example: Sorrento"Tarte"
Ingredients: 70gr. of butter, 80gr. Sorrento extra virgin olive oil, a pinch of salt, 150gr. of sugar, 1 whole eggs and 2 yolks, a packet of vanilla yeast, 50gr. potato starch, 200gr. flour, Sorrento Orange, lemon and mandarin marmalade.
Mix together the eggs and the sugar, addthe salt, the softened butter, and oil, and finally the starch and flour mixed with yeast. Pour 3/4 of the mixture in a buttered and floured pan. Cover with the three marmelades, spreading it on trhee different sections. Cover with the remaining mixture and distribute it with a spoon unevenly. Bake at 180° for 40 minutes. Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
